pad and L foot had some scabby/dirty skin that peeled off. Feather checked Juvenile.
Replaced water. Fast day. No leftovers.

A: BAR. Body conditions on both birds are good. Juvenile missing nearly all secondary
feathers. Volo's foot pads have some pink spots. May need to consider redoing perching
in mew.
Weight change: -69 g (4 %)

healing nicely. MP applied duoderm patch over keel and gave dose of Excede IM. Part of old duoderm patch very well adhered to feathers. One of the follicle bled when feather was plucked- held pressure to stop bleeding and cleaned lightly with povidine. Bucket
cleaned and exercised everyone. Retrieved 148g of scrap. Dropped 1836g of pigeon/squirrel/chick.

A: All vultures are alert/active. 25-008's glottis was clear of fluid right after
regurging, which caused some audible breathing and coughing. Bird went back to normal
breathing after coughing for about a minute.

A: BAR. No apparent signs of frostbite observed on any. Each bird has wounds from
enclosure - see individual notes. All maintaining/gaining weight well.

380 - Smoother pink spot developing on center of R foot, similar but less so on L. Cranial aspect of feet are quite dark but appears to just be this bird's anatomy, not frostbite damage. Found older scab L of keel - not of concern.

P: 616 + 380 - weigh 1x/month. 740 - seems to be stable and eating well. Catch for
weight once more in 1 week before moving to more infrequent catches if maintaining
well to reduce stress and self injury.

the adults flew down and approached me. I put a glove up and they jumped up and
tried to foot me. They stayed near me in an agressive manner. That adult when to
the pile of scrap I had picked up and picked old food out ot it. Once I dropped
new food, both adults were more interested in that than me. The baby did not go
after the food while I was in there.

O: QAR in hand, trying to bite a little. Sq fluids appear to have been absorbed. Abdomen feels more full than expected on palpation considering bird is only on emeraid. Initially concerned for retained food at bottom of crop but seems to just be thickened tissue. Slight increased RR/RE in hand, mild and intermittent crackles heard. Lateral x-ray taken: bird overrotated but stomach appears displaced dorsally, cardiohepatic silhouette looks small, intestines look distended.

O: No scrap, dry mutes but tried to collect fecal. Chilly to touch - 100.7 on low heating pad, turned heat up to high. Did not absorb fluids - can feel in right leg. Did not process food from crop. Was able to collect only a little bit of blood - super anemic and watery when smeared for CBC. Took quick radiograph, can see food in crop, GI muddled, heart and liver very small. Gave meds, did not give more fluids, did not give solid food. Tubed 30cc emeraid.

A: Dehydrated, emaciated, too young to be out of nest. Older stress bars. Corn extracted from back of throat. Maybe orphaned.

P: Start on Emeraid TID. Feed 30g clean meat tonight and tomorrow morning. SQF BID. Rx terbinafine, liver support, vit b for 3 doses, iron Q7. Reapply Adams PRN. Needs more thorough eye exam and radiographs. Take temp again tonight.
